Perioral Dermatitis can look like Rosacea or Acne. However, the normal part of the skin usually separates the lips, edge from the rash.

A Corticosteroid and certain oily cosmetics, particularly, moisturizers, tend to result in Perioral Dermatitis or worsen the condition. Frequently, the cause is not known.

Perioral Dermatitis mostly affects females between ages twenty and sixty. The best treatment is through the antibiotic Tetracycline , which is taken orally. If such antibiotic does not clear up the rash and the condition is especially severe, an acne medication as Isotretinoin, can be helpful.
